What information do we collect?

We collect information from you when you choose to subscribe to receive Flex Alert notifications, times when we need to conserve electricity and avoid power outages.

When registering on our site, you may be asked to enter your name, email address, zip code and company/entity with the approximate number of contacts you can notify of impending Flex Alerts. Additionally, if you prefer text message, you are asked for your phone number and carrier name. You may, however, visit our site anonymously.

What do we use your information for?

Any of the information we collect from you will be used to send periodic Flex Alert notifications when and if called by the California Independent System Operator (ISO). 

The email address/phone number (text) you provide may be used to send you information, respond to inquiries, and/or other requests or questions.

How do we protect your information?

We implement a variety of security measures to maintain the safety of your personal information when you enter and submit your personal information. After subscribing, your private information (as described above) will be kept on file in order to warn you of possible Flex Alerts when called by the ISO.

Do we use cookies?

Like many websites, we use cookies to track website usage statistics and visitor interactions. These cookies are used to store information, site usage, such as what time the current visit occurred, whether the visitor has been to the site before, and what site referred the visitor to the web page. Browsers do not share cookies across domains. And a cookie can't read data off your hard disk or read cookie files created by other sites.

We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer to outside parties your personally identifiable information.
